This clay and coal pit used only the clay under their coal. The clay was in two benches separated by a sandy calcareous hard horizon, making 12 to 15 feet of clay.

  1. Idle 1934. According to the field notes, the mine was operating in 1930, when mines producing less than 1,000 tons per year were not reported. Production was also not reported for 1931 and 1933, presumably because less than 1,000 tons per year were mined.
