Notes

  1. Mines producing less than 1,000 tons per years were not listed in the Coal Reports from 1930 through 1933. The company was also known as Richland County Lime and Coal Company. That company was visited at NE SW 5-T2N-R14W on September 1, 1927. The coal was either not reported or not mined between this 1927 visit and the 1930 report of mining. The years of limestone production (or quarry operation) are not known, but limestone was being quarried at the time of the 1927 visit.
  2. The data shown on the map is not dated or attributed to a single person, and is probably a compilation map from several sources.
  3. The mine location description was plotted on a 1:24000 USGS topographic map, which corresponded with the location shown on the work map in the Coal Section files.
