  1. Production indicates approximately 150 acres were mined.
  2. The combination air-escape shaft is not shown on the accompanying map. The construction was completed and reported in the 1884 Coal Report. The Sanborn Map Company reports of 1885 and 1892 show the air shaft approximately 210 feet northwest of the main shaft.
  3. Operated by Whitebreast Fuel Company after 1895, but continued to report under the same name.
