The source map indicates that the southern part of the mine had thin coal which halted mine expansion. The source map showed caved workings in rooms on the northernmost part of the mine and a roof fall just south of the air shaft. Expansion was halted on the west side of the northern part of the mine because the coal was eroded (or never deposited).
