- ↑ production indicates approximately 2 acres were mined. The area enclosed by the extent of the mine as reported in the mine notes is approximately 7 acres.
- ↑ No map of the Little Muddy No. 1 Mine has been found. According to the mine notes, the mine extended (from the slope bottom) 600 ft east and 200 ft south, with old works extending 300 ft west and 100 ft north. The air shaft is not shown on the accompanying map because of later surface mining by Burning Star No. 5 Mine (mine index 967).
- ↑ Production not reported in 1922 for mines producing less than 10,000 tons.
- ↑ Gaps in years of production may represent production by mines listed as unlocated at the back of this report. This would increase the production for this mine and total area mined. See the Wilkerson mine listings that reported at De Soto at the back of this report for possible production related to this mine. The extent of the mine reported in the mine notes compared to the reported production for Little Muddy No. 1 Mine also support the likelihood of additional operators.
- ↑ The mine location was plotted on a 1:24000 USGS topographic map from the mine location description and digitized.
