Notes

  1. Some of the area included in the polygon for this mine on the accompanying map may have been mined by the Collinsville Mine (mine index 2770), connected underground on the western side. Heintz Bluff was also connected underground to Abbey No. 3 (mine index 2769) to the south. The Heintz Bluff source map does not show an air shaft. It was relatively common for some of these older mines to use these underground connections for additional ventilation and escapement routes.
  2. Owned and operated by J. L. Heintz from 1876 to July 1st, 1882, when the mine was sold to Joseph Wickliffe (J. L. Heintz continued as superintendent for the mine).
  3. Production prior to June 1878 and from July 1879 to June 1881 unknown.
