- ↑ Production and years of operatoin prior to 1882 are not known. The Coal Report of 1882 indicates 85 acres were mined.
- ↑ Map of Pioneer Mine (mine index 3535) designates "Abandoned Mine, (water) Danger" to the east. This is assumed to be the Brandenberger mine, because ISGS databases indicated Brandenberger was located in section 29 of T1N, R8W. A general area of mining was drawn to indicate the location and some of the extent of the Brandenberger Mine.
