Notes

  1. This is shown on the accompanying map by a general area of mining, which is contiguous to the general area of mining for the Old Diamond Mine (mine index 3792).
  2. No map has been found for this mine, or any source for the outline. The general area of mining has been drawn to specifications reported in the ISGS mine notes by a resident of the area and miner who reportedly worked in this mine, Pichon, that the mine extended south to the river, west to a line designated by the schoolhouse, east to the brickyards, and 80 rods north to Gun Club Road. (Gun Club Road cannot be found, so our general area of mining is the approximate size calculated from production and in the correct general area.) Pichon also reported that the Economy Mine may have hit the Old Diamond Mine (mine index 3792).
  3. The mine location was plotted on a 1:24000 USGS topographic map from the mine location description and digitized.
