Notes
- ↑ The Carbondale Coal & Coke Company operated at least two mines around 1878 to 1884, the Dodd shaft (mine index 6910) and the Laflin slope (mine index 5973). No original maps survive of either mine, and all source maps indicating the location of these mines operated around 1930. Consequently, the locations shown are not consistent with each other. The mine shown at this location certainly operated before 1900, and may be an unknown mine operated by Carbondale Coal & Coke, or this may be the true location of the Dodd shaft or the Laflin slope, or this may be a mine operated by some unknown company.
