  4. Map sources indicate Grant Mine includes workings of Harding & Emery No. 1 and No. 2. The Daily Advocate newspaper stated on February 4, 1887 that Consolidated Coal Company controlled Harding Coal Company. The November 12, 1904 issue stated that Consolidated Coal Company sold Grant Coal Company to J. Reinman, but no production was listed after 1889 under either name.
