According to the mine notes, faults occurred throughout the mine, but these were not shown on the company maps. The source map showed bad top and a roof fall in NW SW NW 23-T9S-R5E, and another roof fall in SE NE NE 22-T9S-R5E. The mine had some problems relating to inadequate bedrock cover. Water came into the mine from roof fractures. Two buried Pleistocene valleys in the north part of the mine cut out bedrock above the workings. Surface subsidence resulted, with more water and some mud coming into the mine at these locations.
