Discussion
SPHALERITE, RATHER THAN GALENA, WAS THE COMMONEST MINERAL AT THE OPENING. THE ORE CONTAINS LITTLE PB, AND IS LOW IN FE, SO THE JIG CONCENTRATES RAN 50-60 PERCENT ZN.

THE ORE BODY WAS A TYPICAL EAST-TRENDING GASH-VEIN DEPOSIT, IN WHICH SPHALERITE RATHER THAN GALENA WAS THE COMMONEST MINERAL AT THE OPENING. THE ORE BODY WAS JUST ABOVE THE TOP OF THE PROSSER CHERTY MEMBER OF THE GALENA DOLOMITE.
