THE OREBODY WAS 40 TO 130 FT THICK--ONE OF THE LARGEST ORE BODIES IN THE MINING DISTRICT. LATER PROSPECTING BY TRI-STATE ZINC, INC., HAS GREATLY ENLARGED THE RESERVES, SO IT IS PROBABLY THE LARGEST ORE BODY IN THE DISTRICT. IN 1949, 1,500 GALLONS OF WATER PER MINUTE WAS PUMPED FROM THE MINE.
