Mining in the Long Point Quadrangle

Only one mine is known to have operated within the boundaries of the Long Point Quadrangle, the Briner & Miller Mine (mine index 2738). The Danville Coal was mined in this surface operation. Little is known of the mine that only operated during one year, 1937.
