Mining in the Stavanger Quadrangle
Only one mine was known to have operated in this quadrangle. The Heather Coal Company (mine index 2383) only operated from 1936 to 1937 with a small operation. This mine lies near the crop line for the Colchester Coal, the predominant coal mined in this part of the state.
