Geological Problems Reported
This mine was reported to have no faults. “Very little gas” was reported in the mine notes. However, one miner was killed by a gas explosion in 1901. This may have been a result of poor ventilation, since the fatality was before the fan was set up at the air shaft. The coal seam had no continuous impurities.
