Production Notes

The main south entry had a 20-degree dip in the distance of 100 to 150 feet, while the remainder of the entry was level. The immediate roof was 6 inches of draw slate that adhered to the top coal. The seam contained pyrite balls, but no regular bands of pyrite were observed. The floor was 4 feet of fire clay that did not heave even when moist.
