  1. Production prior to 1882 unknown. The Coal Report of 1882 indicates 15 acres mined. The 1874 Atlas of St. Clair County indicates that mining was taking place in the early 1870s. The location of this mine indicates it may have been the precursor to the Highland Mine (mine index 3528).
