Production Notes
Some gas was noted in roof falls, especially when the mine was wet. The black shale roof contained a layer of coal balls that sometimes extended down into the top coal. The coal was uniform from top to bottom. Some clay veins were noted, ranging from 3 to 6 inches wide.
