Geological Problems Reported
The cap rock was 2 to 6 inches of limestone, which made a good roof except where it was thin. Horsebacks were seen in the coal, consisting of a stringer of clay cutting through the coal from the roof to the floor. The horsebacks generally averaged 12 inches wide, but ranged up to 36 inches wide. The mine as a whole was very wet and muddy.

Notes
- ↑ The mine is smaller than expected for the reported production. Production indicates approximately 130 acres were mined. It is likely that mine index 5010 (not shown on accompanying because of later surface mining), shown as an old abandoned mine on the source map, was the earliest workings for the Parrville Mine, as they both used the same tipple.
- ↑ The 1896 production values were incorrect in the Coal Report, and have not been used in tabulating mine production in Fulton County.
- ↑ Idle 1902
- ↑ Production after map date
