Geological Problems Reported
Poor roof conditions were encountered immediately at the shaft bottom and the mine was abandoned. The mine was re-opened the next year, but the short operating life of the mine indicates the roof conditions may not have improved with further development. (On the other hand, the depth may have induced financial difficulties.)
