- ↑ The area shown on the accompanying map is larger than expected for the reported production. Additional production may have been reported under Western Brick Coal Company and various other mine operators leasing coal from the Western Brick Company (see the Danville Southeast and Danville Southwest Quadrangles, mine index numbers 3710, 3783, 3788, 3790 and 6773), or the actual area mined may only be in the vicinity of a small pond in the northern part of the pit.
