Notes

  1. Years of operation and production before 1882 are not known. The 1882 Coal Report indicated 300 acres were mined. This is the probably location of Jacob Loose’s mine, said to have opened in 1865 (in the 1873 History of Sangamon County).
  2. Production before 1882 is not known.
  3. The mapped boundary may not include all areas mined by Wabash/Junction Mining Company.
