Notes

  1. The boundary between Service No. 6 Mine and Pinckneyville No. 5 Mine can not be discerned on the source maps.
  2. No air shaft was shown on the source map. Ventilation was probably achieved via the underground connections with Pinckneyville No. 5 Mine (mine index 90).
  3. The 1935-1944 mine map indicated the 1931 mine extensions were from an Interstate Coal Company map. The mine may have operated between 1930 and 1932 and produced less than 1,000 tons per year. Such mines were not listed in the Coal Reports during that period.
  4. No air shaft was shown on the source map. Ventilation was probably achieved via the underground connections with Pinckneyville No. 5 Mine (mine index 90).
  5. Idle 1950
