Geological Problems Reported
The source map indicated faults on the western edge of the mine. Rather than structural faults, these areas are more likely to have been areas where the coal was eroded, as this part of the mine is very close to the coal outcrop. Mining halted south of the hoist shaft where bad top was noted on the source map.
