Geological Problems Reported
The slope was sunk into a hill on the east side of a small surface mine. They ran into old workings that nearby residents had no idea who operated it. People in the proximity of the mine did know of a nearby mine that operated around 1882, so the old workings were possibly much older. Very little pyrite was visible. The blue band was almost invisible here.

- ↑ The presence of an air slope immediately southeast of the haulage slope can be deduced from the source map. Other airways were also present from 1938 to 1941 from the surface mine northwest of the slope entrance to the mine. The mine is so small on the accompanying map that the addition of the air slope symbol would obscure the main slope symbol, and the airway symbol has not been added.
