- ↑ Another hoist shaft for the Old North Mine is reputed to be in the vicinity of 1500 N. Lincoln. The exact location is not known.
- ↑ Production for 1871-1883 unknown. Possible location of Old North Mine, which opened in 1865. The 1882 Coal Report indicated 80 acres were mined.
- ↑ The southeast portion of the map may be incomplete, and mining may extend east of the mapped boundary. The extent of the Old North Mine may not be included in the mapped boundary.
