The Western Brick Property mines show a total of 140 acres surface-mined and 205 acres underground-mined on Danville SE and Danville SW Quadrangles. These pits are named 3710 on the Danville SE Quadrangle and 3788 on the Danville SW Quadrangle. The production of the mines is not recorded in a way that tonnage can be reliably split between surface and underground mines to match up with the area shown, but the area shown is larger than would be expected for the tonnage recorded. Western Brick Company leased their coal lands to other operators, and some of the unlocated mines at the back of this report probably mined Western Brick lands.
